This op-ed gives us virtually no factual evidence with which to verify the claims from the professionals cited within. I find it hard to accept and even understand the view that water fluoridation poses serious risks to our health, as presented here. The author's descent into a rant against the dental industry at the end makes the piece even less effective.

What starts as a sourced summary of test results on the toxicity of flouride treatment of drinking water finishes as an unsourced rant against dentists and the American Dental Association -- thus raising a question regarding the objectivity and veracity of the entire piece.

It cites scientific evidence that supports the view that fluoridation is unsafe. Fluoridationists often just want you to trust them because they are dentists.
