Interesting to see the conservative National Review call for Palin to bow out of the race as a result of her clear incompetence to be president.

Ms. Parker doesn't provide much evidence (though a great deal is available) in reaching her conclusion that Sarah Palin is not sufficiently educated concerning national and international issues and is thus not ready for the job of V.P. She claims McCain can't repudiate and replace her (though this is debatable) and encourages Palin to bow out -- for family, for country. Her essay is worth reading, since the conservative previously supported and defended Palin enthusiastically.

This opinion piece has minimal journalistic merit. The author should have read the complete transcript of the Gibson interview, which shows that Gov. Palin got the better of him on almost every point. She has indeed more executive experience than Biden or Obama: why is that a reason for her not being qualified as VP? She has major accomplishments in working with Democrats, perhaps the author is unhappy about this?

Ms. Parker is far too kind to Gov. Palin. Not only is she uninformed on issues crucial to national leadership, her "brand image" is a sham.
