On the September 11 edition of MSNBC Live, Hill contributor and Republican strategist John Feehery claimed that "when the Obama campaign and when the left bloggers attack [Gov.] Sarah Palin, it's kind of attacking motherhood and apple pie and everything good about America." Feehery also asserted that Palin "represents everyday America, normal America."

As usual MediaMatters comes up with the goods. The old adage, "an argument with a fool is no argument," explains why its becoming so extremely difficult to intelligently review McCainismsthat is, outrageous distortions, ridiculous lies, and dont-do-to-us-what-were-doing-to-you strategies. Examples: both McCain and Cheney used the pig-lipstick quote that caused McCain to scream foul; Hillary endured Republican sexist attacks, but any attack on Palin "attacks motherhood and apple pie and everything good about America." According to the media, Republicans have truth; Democratics have horrendous, irresponsible politics.
