The mainstream media certainly has its problems -- problems that include a downturn in revenue and its well publicized lack of skepticism during the run-up to the Iraq invasion. Nevertheless, I still find a lot of accurate information in the plainly written newspapers that I read and believe that an institution so routinely attacked from both the left and the right must have value.
