This is basic coverage of a story that has been on the media's radar for some time now. There is really no new information provided. The story offers far more space to those who support the Arizona law and only a nod to those who oppose it which may reflect public sentiment, but is not balanced.

no. the media is always painting people against illegal immigration as against immigration which is not true. "an immigration hard-liner” "an illegal immigration hard-liner” would be more accurate. Words matter. By using the term illegal immigrant your words are legitimizing these people. They are trespassing. Immigrants come here legally. The proper term is illegal alien. The other side will say this term dehumanizes the trespassers. "an illegal alien hard-liner” would be more even more accurate. The law is set to take effect later this month unless a federal judge supports a legal challenge from President Obama's administration. In this sentence they don’t note that it is being challenged on supremacy not ... More »

I'm sure that easier to paint everything in black and white, but this story is missing a lot of depth. For instance, I wonder how many people support Arizona only because they are the only ones appearing to do anything about illegal immigration. Or, how many Hispanics are only against the Arizona law just because of the chance of racial profiling.

It was O.K. It covered the 4"w"s. About average

Who are the coalition of hispanic groups. Some of the boys standing down at the corner? It appears to be that the politicians running for office get it or they need it, to run for there office. The people in the SouthWest get it and the rest of the country gets it but the people in Wash D.C. don't get it The Hispanic people also must understand that a lot of illegal people coming into this country are not Hispanic and some of them could be terroist. And besides if you want to come to ... More »

Nothing reported here is new news! It also doesn't explain the AZ law nor point out that many of the opponents never read the law they are opposed to! This report only mentions one of the most obvious reasons this law is supported in AZ: "the still-unsolved March shooting of rancher Robert Krenntz"--but there is no mention that Krentz was murdered.
