Another special interest group at work. The author could have made this clear. Too many scientists and scientific organizations put out scare stories to encourage funding. This is done massively in the global warming area. If scientists don't want political interference they should raise private money. It comes with the territory. They are just want political support rather then scrutiny or accountability.
