This is a balanced well sourced story that provides interesting statistics on women voters and polling numbers on how women might vote. Interesting that 20% of women who voted for Bush in 2004 are backing Obama and 10% of women who voted for Kerry are backing McCain. Based on the convention coverage, one would think the percentages were reversed. What is not mentioned is that Palin has an infant and many women voters will think she can not do a good job at being a parent and being Vice President and would be putting her family second. This may be sexist but it is how many women think.

This article presents a nicely balanced view of different possible effects resulting from McCain's pick of Palin in relation to fishing for female voters. The Republican, Democartic and Republicans-for-Obama sides of the issue are considered. Each argument and claim clearly presented to be considered and weighed, without any apparent author bias to tip the balance of the readers' weighing process.
