Last night, Kerry moved beyond his failed presidential bid and the expectations that have hung over his head since he entered politics, and offered the critique of John McCain that Democrats long needed to make.

As a fan of John Kerry, I was sorry not to have seen his speecch. This piece sets out clearly why Kerry was so effective in his strong attack on John McCain and McCain's failed military and political strategy for the Middle East.
