Very lazy "journalism." Seems agenda driven. By the logic of the article, any VP selection could be considered to show a "lack of confidence." One of the worst I've seen and the AP should be called on it.

This opinion piece has journalistic merit. It does present the opinions of the author, who is notable for being opinionated! However, the author does present the context very well, and notes the trend in the Obama campaign to go more negative and how this action fits in.
