It isn't hard to see where the Pakistani's got their concerns about U.S. activities--given their history, plus our actions in their country and neighboring states. Anybody who pays attention to American media reports would also have grounds for further concern as government officials talk about the need to "secure" Pakistani nuclear weapons. And, as the article DOES mention, our drone attacks have killed militants and civilians alike.

The skepticism from the Paksitanis is evident. The blame needs to be extended to the Govt of Pakistan and the authorities, instead the ritual bashing for the US. The United States has always been cleared about its interests and trust on the 'effectiveness' of drones. So far they have been quick in pin pointing any war strategy that they feel is not competent enough. There's an insight here into the complex dynamics of Pakistani politics that I appreciate. However, there's no mention of drone attacks, which probably pay a significant role in shaping Pakistani's perception of American interference in their country.

The authors would have improved this article by mentioning other polls show a majority of Pakistanis see the US as the greatest threat to their country.

Increasing the US profile in Afghanistan and Pakistan only makes the US appear to be the enemy or occupier, and does not improve stability.
