Get spied on without doing anything wrong

Those who aren't alarmed by racial profiling ought to consider what makes this country special and think about what will be left to protect in a fascistic society where the individual's basic rights -- and our ideal of equal rights -- are meaningless.

D. Parvaz reflects on an AP feature about profiling amendments planned for the DOJ "attorney general guidelines." The always interesting Seattle PI columnist barely touches on morality of the intended campaign of spying. She points out the practical difficulty because targets of organized hatred keep changing.
