O'Connor explores the manufactured right wing outrage against the putative return of the Fairness Doctrine, even though the event is quite unlikely. The article does not promote a point of view, but reports the actions and attitudes of the people promulgating the idea that the Doctrine will be reinstated and contrasts that with the reality that the FCC is controlled by Republicans and that there is no identifiable faction in Congress pushing for its return.
