The article points out that despite the bad financial state the paper faces, it is held in high regard for reportage by many. More attention to alternative media would have explained the paper's predicament more clearly.

In a good journalistic story the writer explains the mess McClatchy Co is in. He describes their debt problem that is plaguing this company. This is just one company in many caught up in the worst finacial plague in history.
