Obama shed new light on his economic plans for the country, saying he would rely on a heavy dose of government spending to spur growth, use the tax code to narrow the widening gap between winners and losers in the U.S. economy, and possibly back a reduction in corporate tax rates. Full Story »

This is a nice piece of digging by the WSJ. Seemed to let McCain off the hook, though this is not really a piece on him. It does point out his contradiction on incentives for nuclear but not for solar and other renewables. Overall, a nice report on Obama's economic approach.

For the WSJ, which usually tilts heavily right, this is a balanced discussion of Obama's economic plans. It is informative, and the language is mostly neutral rather than loaded with subtext. Good writing by the WSJ. The lower and middle class will benefit from Senator Obama's plan, he is innovative and there are no "trickle down economics". John McCain has stated himself that economics is not his strong suit and reading is believing. I liked the analogy between the two presidential hopefuls. Enlightning article.
