I might have been more receptive to this piece had it been categorized as an "opinion" piece. The role of evangelicals in our current society and political scene is certainly newsworthy, but the interview was not adequately focused on this issue. Relevant information was actually conveyed only peripherally. I don't think this is the sort of article the NewsTrust is designed to review. That said, one suggestion for improvement might be to have Ms. Wicker explain more fully what she meant about the Religious Right having been detrimental to other evangelicals.
