Well sourced behind the scenes story about Mrs. McCain #1.

This is a must read article. It was well written and gives readers a perspective that is rarely seen in mainstream news. It is refreshing to read a new twist on this candidate. I hope that more writers follow this path and report new information that helps the American public understand more about both of our presidential candidates.

This is not the first story I've read about Carol McCain. But it is the most detailed. When the U.S. media gets over their love affair with McCain, perhaps we'll hear more about her.

I like the quote from Ross Perot about McCain: "‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory." Read this article about McCain's first wife and see if you agree, keep in mind that McCain claims to represent the family values crowd.

Considering the fact that I have always wondered about the other Mrs. McCain, this truly offers great insight into their relationship. It also gives good insight into the character of a man and his "circle" and how family, circumstance and life can lead people onto a particular path. I do wonder from the story if the ex-Mrs. mccain is coming out now to continue her "healthcare" support. Would be interesting to find this link. Finally, if McCain loses to a younger Obama-this certainly ... More »

This article, while an interesting read if it's true, doesn't cite sources and reads like an opinion piece. I would question the motives of the UK "Daily Mall" based on this article - and I contributed to Obama, NOT McCain

Everyone knows John McCain dumped his first wife in favor of a rich beauty queen 18 years his younger, but few know the whole story. Despite his callous treatment, Carol McCain supports his candidacy. The story is well-written and informative.

It is a story which should have been told long ago. It is a story at least as outrageous as Rudy Guiliani's treatment of his former wives. Yet while the mainstream media was all over Guiliani for announcing his divorce at a press conference, the story of McCain dumping his crippled wife for a trophy bride went largely untold. Congratulations to the author for giving us a needed perspective. It is hard to imagine McCain winning the evangelical vote if this story becomes well known.

This is the second article I have read about the first Mrs. John McCain. The first was in the New York Times. The details in both articles were similar but this article is more critical of Senator McCain's behavior.

I have always wondered about John McCain's first wife. This is a very interesting account of their relationship. I think that it is important to learn all we can about a candidate and his character.

The article reveals things about John McCain which the public is unaware of. How he deals with women in general has to be scrutinized, since he is courting the women who voted heavily for Clinton. How he treated his first wife would help women voters decide whether McCain is the right person in defending and fighting for women's rights. This article deserves a wider release. Please look into this.

It's about time someone told the full story of McCain's 'honor'. We need, and deserve, to know the facts. Hopefully, McCain will respond.

While much of this is old news, sources in this story confirm the McCain "character" as opportunistic and self-serving. The information was well sourced and provides the perspective that historically McCain has always traded on his honor to move him forward, yet he has often acted dishonorably to those who have supported him most.

This is a piece that gets to John McCain's character. It could be seen as bias in favor of his ex-wife. But, she HAD been treated unfairly.

This is just disgusting. I do not want McCain to be president: I am a big Obama supporter. But I feel like I need to take a shower after reading this. This is a poorly sourced article, there is no way for anyone to know what was really going on in that marriage, it has no relevance to the campaign, and it's no one's business. McCain spent five and a half years being tortured in a North Vietnamese prison camp. The physical injuries he suffered were probably nothing compared to the ... More »
