McCain Quietly Spending on TV in Swing States

Republican John McCain has quietly spent about $1.5 million on television ads in key swing states over the past 90 days, trying to get an early edge with voters while his Democratic rival remains bogged down by a protracted primary battle.

The McCain advertising -- in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Michigan -- may also be an attempt to start countering what has been a huge television presence by Democrats over the past six months.

I checked the author's source (Campaign Media Analysis Group), which seemed legit but I questioned the comment about how Obama spent more than all the Republican candidates combined at $75 million during his/Obama presidential campaign. How much money did Romney spend of his own? McCain's wife's? I'm amused that McCain is following in Obama's steps when it comes to campaign ideas.

My assumption: Washington Post conducted thorough fact checking. Excellent piece. Informative. Interesting comparative statistics. The writer tied in the context well.
