The article emphasizes how to win a colonial-like geopolitical battle for military control, with quotes from advocates of projecting power. There is not talk of the desires of the Afghanis, and no talk of an exit strategy for Bush's war of choice that is now Obama's war of folly.

Spare us Jimmy Carter's advisor or the New York Times. It's hard to think of any people less qualified to win a war.
