Carbon Trading Blasted by Indigenous Groups

The United Nations is facing scathing criticism from the world's indigenous communities for its attempts to promote carbon trading as a tool to address climate change concerns.

This is good journalism as it takes an important topic and expounds on an aspect that likely has many folks scratching their heads wondering how these credits really work. The article provides a lot of quotes, but those quotes don't seem to fully support the title of the piece and don't represent unique points of view, leading me to downgrade its style and sourcing.. Perhaps with more if more background and analysis had been provided had been provided the story would have been more cohesive.

Interesting but one-sided report about the World Bank’s role in facilitating carbon trading programs, allegedly at the expense of indigenous people's rights. While these claims may have merit, the fact that no opposing viewpoints are presented gives this report less weight that it might have had otherwise.

This is a perspective on carbon trading I've not encountered before. Unfortunately, I didn't find the grievances on the part of indigenous people very well articulated.
