i like the over-all style of this piece, with the comments between relevant quotes from named sources, and with something of a historical perspective. sen. mccain appears to be either out-of-touch with the reality 'on the ground' as he might say it, or pandering to his conservative fellows in not voting in ledbetter and his comments regarding how to 'help' women. additionally, (not mentioned here) regarding education and training, that is the overall republican catch-all answer for not only women, but for all those who lose jobs, are underpaid, etc. and as unjustified.
