This well written blog entry hits close to home making an objective, impartial “review” impossible! As a Kentuckian I’m infuriated by McCain’s hypocritical use of Appalachian Kentucky to spotlight economic injustice that he has no intention of addressing. As a progressive I’m offended by his statements saying women need more education and training as if ignorance or incompetence is the cause of systemic discrimination. That the husband and wife team of Mitch McConnell and Elaine Choa are fellow Kentuckians only adds insult to injury. With that disclaimer out of the way, I found this piece to be informative, well sourced and balanced. By quoting the dissenting opinion of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg the author clearly illustrates the unfairness of the Court’s Ledbetter decision which used a ridiculous technicality to override any reasonable attempt at justice.
