Another example of the Bush administration never missing an opportunity to give their special interests buddies money, resources, and more pieces of America. This time Bushies, with their "up-is-down-down-is-up" logic, are trying to sneak behind our backs, big bucks to reward those who caused the mortgage crisis. And you actually thought rewards were for doing good.

Big picture - individual consumers (who have no collective ability to influence legislation) are the losers and big business (who have big lobby dollars) are the winners. Again. So, the entities who outsourced the jobs, broke the unions, busted down the wage base, sent jobs overseas, created financial products that were devastating, got the bankruptcy rules changed in their favor and had the tax code altered so often that they (the corporations) basically pay NO tax now are getting ... The article is narrowly focused, on the Senate version of an economic stimulus act. A comparison to the different House version and some commentary from various economic points of view would be helpful. Links are not germane to the topic. The crux of the issue is that there is no comprehensive economic plan to cope with what appears to be developing into a catastrophe. Instead, following an honored political strategy, congress is throwing money at strong lobbies.
