Thoughtful report on comprehensive health reform from the Commonwealth Fund, a reputable foundation that supports independent research on health care issues. This factual overview is well-researched and presents useful context. It should be noted that the foundation supports a high performance health care system, and therefore is not completely impartial on this issue, though it does a good job at presenting a balanced perspective on this issue.

This rather broad report from the Commonwealth Fund covers the issues with our current health care system, an outline for reforming the system and some supporting economic analysis. A fair amount of data is sumarized in print and in graphs. The principal drawback to the report is that all but two of the supporting references are the Commonwealth Fund's own reports. "Comprehensive reform" is a code word for socialized medicine. We all know that. "Comprehensive reform" of immigration was code for opening the gates. We all know that. Why not tell the truth?
