a fascinating look at the future of automobiles, based on past breakthroughs of industry and invention. the story covers a lot of ground with facts and figures about fuel, cars, batteries, who's doing what. and points out the idea that one major change in a product creates the potential for other types of changes.

the title says a lot about this article.
