It sounds like the plot for the latest summer horror movie. Imagine, for a moment, that George W. Bush had been allowed a third term as president, had run and had won or stolen it, and that we were all now living (and dying) through it. The criticism here is worth considering, but the author does a disservice to his argument by not acknowledging the legitmate and substantive differences between the Obama administration and the prior one.

A little bit of sensationalism. While the author does a good job of highlighting problems with the Obama administration and how similar moves under Bush might have elicited a different response from progressives, the author is nevertheless cherry-picking facts and opinions to make his case. But as a rhetorical piece meant to light some fire, it does its job.
