NPR is considered a leader in news and music podcasts. And under Stern it has also struck deals to deliver its content new ways, such as through cell phones.

Measured by the way many news organizations cover themselves (not very well), this story ranks high. It describes what happened to its CEO clearly (forced out) as opposed to inaccurately (stopped down to spend more time with family/pursue future opportunties, etc. etc.).

The story buries the lede. You don't find out why Stern was fired by NPR until the final few paragraphs.

Stern was told he was being cut loose on Thursday. He declined to be interviewed about his ouster. More »
