The story raises serious questions about a process that was already suspect.

Excellent journalism; well sourced, written, and investigated(even though the DOD can only say they 'dispute' the remarks by Davis). "'Wait a minute, we can't have acquittals. If we've been holding these guys for so long, how can we explain letting them get off? We can't have acquittals, we've got to have convictions.'"---says all that that needs to be said about the military 'tribunals'.

The past seven years have seen nothing but lies, thievery , and subterfuge by every Bushie in government. Why should this article be a surprise from an administration which practices the philosophy: "First we'll give you a fair trial. Then we'll hang you?"

The story helps inform the public of the abhorrent disdain for the principles of law and fair trial by the bush/cheney administration in the military show trials being timed for election year propaganda for broadcast on the right wing corporate media outlets. Col. Davis blows the whistle.

The majority of US citizens, along with the majority of the citizens of the World, have come to EXPECT lies, secret meetings and criminal activity from this administration. They have proven to be a violent, mean-spirited, secretive, gang of neocon criminals who believe that the end they want to achieve justifies the means they choose to use.
