Yahoo's Rejection Pressures Microsoft To Mull a New Bid

The decision to reject the offer, reported Saturday, signals that Yahoo's board is digging in for what could be a long battle. The WSJ requires a subscription to read the full story. I do not consider it a very important topic, unless the anti-trust monopolistic aspects are analyzed.

The issuse here is not just that the possible merger of Microsoft and Yahoo! may have anti-trust implications, but also that any merger between the big 3 (Microsoft, Yahoo!, Google) could have a significant impact on web search and search advertising markets.
