Excellent journalism in that it shows how the media can manipulate public opinion based on lies.

This blog post is simply a clip from a 2001 documentary by British BBC filmmaker Adam Curtis titled "Century of the Self" and available online in its entirety here: http://centuryself.blogspot.com/ Curtis' original documentary was quite interesting and well done, in my opinion, although I thought some of the details of his treatment of Anna Freud were questionable. It is always amazing to learn of these examples of fact manipulation. The piece just reminds us of the need to be alert. The spin doctors have been around a long time and they are still here. I have a Mac that has Quicktime and Windows Media Player yet could not get the clip to play. So my recommendation is have a transcript available for us to read. In fact I prefer reading to watching as the former is active the latter is passive and its frustrating to have to not be able to glean some info or wisdom because Google wants something or other I'm not interested in just to see this content.
