This could be the start of something big. Given the record of actions and behavior of FCC Chairmen Powell then Martin, it is gratifying indeed to see the FCC get well deserved high-level scrutiny. If not immediately obvious, it is none the less crucial that our Public Commons and the agencies that safeguard them are kept under close scrutiny to prevent abuses that can have catastrophic effect on the well-being of our nation, now and future. worth following up with this story to find out if the committee can do what they are working towards. to see how much cooperation from the chairman is possible, and to finally discover why the latest decisions were made by him in spite of so much opposition by the public and congress.
