The author does not explain key concepts in the article. I feel like they could have gone more into the inner workings of antidepressants, depression, and diabetes. I feel they could have gone into much more explanation than they did. They do link to where the findings were published. The writing technique they used were not very effective because it was just an explanation of the research method and findings. The interviewing and reporting techniques could have be improved to help explain why the research was significant. I think they should have interviewed the researchers.

This article is surprising. Who would have thought that use of antidepressants was linked to Type 2 Diabetes. THe author is unclear regarding the implications of this connection. The author does not do a good job of explaining necessary science concepts, such as those that may suggests that the link between diabetes and antidepressant use was logical. She does explain that common symptoms of type 2 diabetes include more eating and lack of exercise. She did not make the connection that people with Diabetes have blood sugar issues that make them feel less energetic. In my opinion, this may be one of the reasons for the connection.
