As the article emphasizes, the shared trait of Murrow and Olbermann is passion. They believed there was truth not sides. Mr. Kitman touches on these qualities to make his point. To be a reporter, passion and expertise used to be valued.

I watch Keith Olberman's show on MSNBC regularly. I also watch NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams. Often the same stories appear on both broadcasts - I find it fascinating that the manner in which the stories are framed by the anchor has a such an impact on my own experience with the story. It will be interesting to see how the NewsTrust community responds to this article and the concept that "objectivity" exists only as a theory in textbooks.
