Good factual reporting on the suspected death of Baitullah Mehsud, leader of Pakistan’s Taliban. The report provides in-depth factual information about this event, but is careful to point out that this death may not be confirmed for several weeks. Great context about what this means for Pakistan and the region, even though many of the sources are anonymous.

As part of our Pakistan News Hunt with Huffington Post, I compared this New York Times article to a local blog roundup from ProPakistan on the same news event. I found the NYT piece to be more informative and reliable than the blog post. However, the Pro Pakistan post offered more links and embedded videos, with diverse perspectives on this event.
