UN Dispatch - By Mark Leon Goldberg - Feb. 23 (News) - I have just obtained the copy of a draft resolution from the Human Rights Council that strongly condemns the violence in Libya. What is more significant than the substance of the resolution is the broad degree of support it has received by a diverse set of members.

Hybrid peackeeping force to be deployed in Darfur

UN Dispatch - By Jessica Valenti - Mar. 30 (Opinion) - The United Nations, the Sudanese Government, the African Union (AU) and the League of Arab States (LAS) have agreed to deploy a hybrid UN-AU peacekeeping force to Darfur in an effort to end violence in the region.
