Truthout is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit,[1] progressive news organization that operates a web site[2] and distributes a daily newsletter. Registered in September 2001,[3] Truthout.org is ranked in the top 6,000 web sites on the Internet, with an estimated 2.5 million visits per month.[4] Truthout publishes original political news articles, opinion pieces, video reports and artwork.
