London Review of Books (or LRB) is a fortnightly British literary magazine. The London Review was founded in 1979 by former editors of The Times Literary Supplement, during the year-long lock-out at The Times. For its first six months, it appeared as an insert in the New York Review of Books. In May 1980, the London Review became an independent publication with a distinctly radical editorial orientation.[1] The London Review's first editor was Karl Miller; the current editor is Mary-Kay Wilmers.
