In These Times is a monthly magazine (formerly a biweekly magazine) of news and opinion published in Chicago. It has a circulation of over 21,000 (2004). In These Times was established in 1976 by James Weinstein, a life-long socialist, with the aid of prominent left-wing intellectuals such as Noam Chomsky and Herbert Marcuse. As a non-profit organization, In These Times is financed through subscriptions and donations.
