The Dallas Morning News is the major daily newspaper serving the Dallas, Texas (USA) area. The Dallas Morning News first began publishing on 1 October 1885[1] with a circulation of around 5,000 subscribers. For the six months ending March 31, 2006, average paid circulation was 480,481 daily and 649,709 on Sunday, making it the 13th largest newspaper in terms of circulation in the United States.[2] It has won numerous Pulitzers for both reporting and photography, George Polk Awards for education reporting and regional reporting, and an Overseas Press Club award for photography.
