As a sibling to someone who has epilepsey, i find this entire incident horrendeous. Thank you Baltimore Sun for letting this womans voice be heard. I found this article to be informative and insightful to transgender hate crimes. I hope this article is well circulated to raise awareness.

Preakness is a huge event in Baltimore (an Nationally). This article is imformative, it details the evnt, ticket prices and entertainment. However it does not cover why the ticket sales are up 14%, it merely brushes the topic (which is the articles title).

An entertaining story, that is well written and researched. The writer took time to find different opinions/views and displayed the quotes perfectly to enhance the story.
It gave a good perspective on the uphill battle for smaller lobbying firms that must deal with new legislation. An acturate analysis on lobbyists' "ining and dining" legislators.
The story seemed very dry, and definitely not up lifting. Although it presents both sides of the arguement, these sides of the stiory are barely covered and dotted with frail wuotes. The entire story and situation leaves you with an unsettleing feeling.

I am disappointed in Kweisi Mfume's lack of morals and disregard as a public official. I found this article informative but would have preferred more about Mfume's past, since it is tainted.
Birch did a wonderful insightful story on Baltimore's Ex-Mayor William Donald Schaefer. Birch illustrated schaefer by intertwining personal stories (both positive and negative) with his beliefs and the beliefs of others. The story is objective with out being callous. For an obituary Birch painted an entertain picture of a man with good intentions who was a little hard to get along with.
