I certainly have a certainly point of view but I think I back it up with factual information.

4 companies control most of Canada's media. - Quebecor, CTV/Globe Media, Rogers, CanWest. Some of the local markets are the most concentrated in the world, I believe Canwest controls about 75% of Vancouver media for example. That study was used because it was the most recent and comprehensive study of journalists in years. I provided other examples to back it up. The IFC thing is significant as it is a station provides good political documentaries - Canwest who will own it, are know for being very conservative and pushing these views in their media - not unlike Rupert Murdoch. thanks for the reviews

I've seen this story seasoned with corporate propaganda elsewhere - this seems like an honest analysis of the situation. A strike against corporate media is a strike for our right to communicate.

This is truly a sad loss, I hope we can learn from it at least.

Pat forgets that most of these new media sites are owned by large corporations and are run as commercial entities.

The WSF should be much more widely reported on in the USA. We are so narrowly focused on our own country.

An important video report from the people at GNN.tv -considering the war profiteering in Iraq this raises an important and timely concern. Question that might be asked is do corporations take advantage of wars, or are they involved in the launch of wars in the first place. And also: should we support corporations as an entity if this is how they act?

This is horribly biased "Whoever wins the election will have to try to unite a deeply divided country or face much political instability," By the far the majority support Chavez, it is small but vocal rich minority that is against him. I don't like the way this article sets the stage for political instability that could be created by the wealthy people in the country.

A good analysis about how we can create true participatory democracy and move away from dependence on unaccountable corporations.
