Very biased in his approach and does not include other uses of coal - such as coal gasification such as the methods that have been developed by AIE in Italy. I do agree with some of the points but I feel that it is not a balanced piece. But what journalism is nowadays?

Though the story is brief, it is linked to deeper support on the topic at hand. the story does address the responsibility of nations to respect "the rule of law" which are based upon the laws passed by international and domestic lawyers. To sustain that rule of law is every nations responsibility. this is well presented.
Maintaining rule of law is the responsibility of every nation on earth. period. that is why the UN was founded - to co-ordinate that governance. Has ... More »
Although antidotes are interesting =, there needs to be more basis of fact to come to some of the conclusions that are presented. "Shy and Retiring" is plain hook - no substance - no support in the article.

Yes and No - the journalist misses Bill Clinton's activities with the Carlyle Group and other activities, but she does make her point.
I think the Clinton's need to do some house cleaning before they are actively involved in Obama's Admin. However, Bill and Hillary are both members ... More »
I have time to digest this article and I find it informative and forthright. Lochhead really takes a look at the possibilities and the circles of influence in the Obama inner core. What strikes me is how many of Obama's friends and core group are also members of the DLC. And yet, he claims he is not. The DLC is neo-con arm of the Democratic party, by the way. Progressive but centrist. I think her assessments of the various players is pretty spot on.
As I read this and knowing that Hillary may be selected to be Secretary of State (or Kerry or Richardson - whom I put my money on); I also thought ... More »
Great style - little substance to back up the commentary. Sound bites are wonderful but I would like to see more details. I was an Obama supporter but when I had donated the maximum amount and was still send emails to donate more - I realised that the Obama Money Machine does not keep records in a dynamic database - so that they can turn off the begging machine until the General Erection (pun intended) When I also learned that Obama is a member of the DLC (Democratic Leadership ... I think one of the critical points in this article is not only the content but the author - Bill Moyers. Mr. Moyers is renown for getting his facts straight and presenting open and honest content - no matter the topic. I remember when America first invaded Iraq, then Chief Warmonger and Soon-to-be-war criminal Donnie Rumsfield mentioned that the name of the operation was Operation Iraqi Liberation. One of his military minders pointed out what the acronym spelled (O.I.L.) and the ... More »
It is not good journalism - at all. "Lightworker" - in politics? Some people try to claim that Obama is placing himself as a saviour figure. I see him as a man of integrity. McCain will say what is expedient at the time. he has done this over and over again. I would like to see someone ask McCain directly what he will do about the Executive Orders that were signed by Bush. How many will he resend?
This article is a short history of why Dubya has made the USA the laughing stock of the civilzed world. My biggest fear about this diatribe is that there are actually people who subscribe to these beliefs and semi-facts (out and out lies). As an American living overseas, I know by experience just how little people think of the current American government administration. Unfortunately, all of us Americans are getting lumped into this cesspool of anger and frustration. May I ask ... More »
