I found it appalling that every single so-called expert in this article assumes that Russia invaded Georgia as an act of aggression. Not one even hinted at what Georgia did to provoke the invasion. And then there's the ABM system the US wants to put into Poland, spoken about as though it were a useful expense of money. I found no "fair and balanced" in any of these opinions.

I was disappointed that the story covered lots of Republican race-related stuff, but not one peep about the Republican candidate most popular on the internet, as well as with campaign donations from the military - Ron Paul. What is he, chopped liver? :-)
Thank you for putting something positive about public financing, our only way out of the system of "legalized bribery" that we have now.
This op-ed is completely devoid of good journalism. Fouad is obviously trying to distract the reader into changing the context of Scooter's trial from one of lying to the grand jury to some tenuous connection to the War in Iraq with which it has nothing to do. He did the crime, he should do the time. Oh, I see, he's a friend of dubya so he should be let go.
Great story, well researched. It goes beyond the standard sound bytes about the "clash of civilizations" and brings the issue home to us.
