This article is very interesting in that the subject matter though clear does not have a clear definition. The "hook up" culture seems to be a trend in college campuses and in media today, however, as mentioned in the article it is a newer used term of an older concept. This type of relationship has always been around but now it is talked about even more. The information gathered is relevant not only to those who go to Towson but is also comparable to young adults in relationships everywhere.

This article is extremely relevant and speaks to an important issue in our society: hate crimes. Though the incident had occured in Baltimore, what happened to Polis is known throughout the nation. This form of violence reinforces that many in society are afraid and not willing to accept those who are different. The writer goes in-depth using various sources to support this article. The crime itself is a complex one, though it is obvious this is a hate crime, there are many factors that need to be considered, such as, the race of the victim.

This is a very interesting article. The writer does a good job in balancing both point of views. Most importantly, the audiences attention is captured with the title and then immediately by all those who oppose being screened by the FBI. The writer presents why this is being done, along with how this will appear to those who risked their lives to help the nation and why some pople think this is a resonable means for getting care. The article is very interesting and is relevant to all readers.

The writer uses a lot of credible sources to support the article. There is a clear outline of the Mfume's political background emphasizing why it was thought that he might run for mayor this spring. By describing all of his achievements and imvolvment in the community the writer introduces why Mfume is an important individual. The writer is also neutral, providing the reason Mfume had left his job at NAACP.

This is a very well-written article. Not only does the writer discuss the issue at hand but she also looks into the reasons for the changes in the wage gap. It is interesting to see that many factors are overlooked when attempting to understand the wage gap. Though men take on less flexible jobs and work longer hours, more younger men are not looking for employment at the rates that young women are. Though not having a wage gap is ideal, this is creating an issue among men and women given the societal expectations of both groups.

This article is very informative and relevant to the various forms of social networks available on the internet and its importance in society. This takes an international perspective and views the limitations placed on various freedoms when it comes to expression. The writer takes both an up close and a general look at the issue, as well as, reactions of other societies.

This article questions a growing problem in Detroit due to the falling number of residents. The issue is the result of various factors that make the city unique. Known as a diverse city and nationally recognized for its role in the auto industry, the decline in residents can seem alarming. The writer was able to convince the audience that this is a problem for the U.S. Detriot is also being criticized for its neighborhoods and low annual income. If this is a problem for Detroit it can soon be a problem for a neighboring city. The figures, size of population and Census statistics add to the article.

The timeline of the past events and the current situation of Japan are very relevant to the topic discussed. The writing is organized and the sources are very credible. The writer was able to establish and provide evidence that information had not been disclosed in the past. The scandals from the past need to be made open to improve the health and knowledge of the public for the future.

This is an excellent article. It is very relevant and it analyzes why students are not doing as well as the state would like. The writer tackels the issue by interviewing credible individuals and by addressing that the lack of science education starts from the lack of trained teachers, resources and inconsistency of education attained among minority populations. The example of the student in the beginning of the article was consistent throughout the piece. There was also analysis of why science is not given importance in popular media, which impacts young students.

This is not good journalism due to the fact that the presentation of events and sources were unclear. The fact that the President was visiting the area is simply used to pull in the reader to discuss an important issue. The writer should have focused on the issue at hand and taken a side instead of presenting the material as a somewhat neutral party. Given the accident, it would have been more relevant to discuss how this effects the area. Further information should have been presented to clarify the identities and residence of those who were interviewed.
