I believe that this is a great publication because it is a relevant issue regarding climate change in the world and it brings to the table what other countries are doing, and how countries are working together to bring about change. Also, there are many sources cited that make this publication more factual and easier to trust because the sources and references are professional and insightful.

The way the story is written is much more like a story, not a report. With an opinion based foundation and little hard-fact, it is hard to find this author credible and even more, interesting to read.
The author proves his arguments from a poll to say there is a political and economic need for more spending to create more jobs because the banks have been saved. However, he fails to mention that many jobs have been exported and no amount of money is capable of bringing those jobs back to the states.
After following so many articles regarding the Health Care Reform, it is interesting to see the result. This article does a great job providing facts, expert's points of views, and what the future holds for the of the United States and Health Care.
This story, unlike the last one I read regarding homosexual hate crimes, is everything the other wasn't. This publication does a great job providing expert's opinions, context, and relevancy for the readers to get a full spectrum of views regarding this issue.
I do believe that this story has the potential to be something more, however, the author did not take his writing opportunity to the next level. With providing basic facts and little in-depth context, this article is more of a basis to a future story leading to a discussion of the treatment of homosexuals and hate crimes.
The relationship between Ayers and Obama were a hot topic during his Presidential Campaign, and now with the idea that Ayers wrote the President's memoir brings up the controversial relationship yet again. The idea that Ayers is a former terrorist and has a relationship with the President is something that many people had a hard time getting over back in 2008, and the fact that he is still popping up in Obama's life (whether the accusations are true or false), are still very mind boggling and scary to the country.
This is a very interesting article because it shows the future of housing and how bargain-priced housing and real estate is really starting to take sail. No longer do relators look to sell the huge mansions, rather, the lower-priced houses are the ones driving the real estate market in the Silicon Valley.
Obviously, the health care battle is something that is an extremely relevant and pending issue in the United States. This article is interesting because it shows how Obama is continuing to press for government-run healthcare, however, now he is working to build a coalition of supporters. The only difficulty is that Obama struggles to reform his idea in a way that is widely accepted by both conservatives and liberals. This article integrates many different viewpoints from senators across the country, all whom which give their opinion and ideas for a potentially cooperative plan.
I would have liked it more if the author went into more detail of the situation. Although it is discussing what happened during Obama's address in regards to Wilson, I feel like it could have gone into greater detail and maybe explained how society affects the way people are acting today, not just that Wilson had an outburst. By asking the questions like, "What communal issues are enabling Wilson to act like this" or "Was this more than a political difference that inspired this outburst", would have given the article more credibility and strength
This is a new take on health care articles I have read thus far. Yes, this does give the general outline of health care in the United States, but it also gives pointers on how to deal with the health care system and gives specific stories of people who have experienced both negative and positive issues of health care. This is almost like a "how-to" manual of the health care system and it is a very useful resource for those who are still unsure of how it works or may or may not benefit them,.
I believe this is good journalism because this author does a great job of linking modern to history. The author notes, that ever since the Vietnam War, people have have instinctively changed which has had a huge affect on manners and interpersonal relationships. With public outbursts like Kanye West and Senator Wilson, it is extremely apparent that society has taken an attitude adjustment for the worse. This article does a great job of bringing up key points as to why this is happening and how sociologists feel it is affecting society as a whole and how it can be changed or prevented from becoming even more rude.
This is quality journalism for Hellman is working hard to save the news that has been affected over the past several years due to the influx of internet coverage and paperless media. With the heavy donation and a potential boost to the nonprofit journalism outlets, Hellman hopes to create a greater sense of strength for the regional news coverage that has lost strength because more and more people are turning away from paper media. With this story centrally focussed on saving good journalism and news, it is extremely relevant, for the author and Hellman are both trying to bring awareness to the fact that local and regional news is still a quintessential part of society today, even though more and more people forget about it as ... Michael Moore, hands down, is one of my favorite directors to ever exist. Although his documentaries are sometimes flawed and shielding viewers from 100% of the truth, I do believe that he brings up a lot of interesting points to the table that rocks Americans and the rest of the world's comfort zones and viewpoints. Not having to agree with everything he says, like Huffington shares, Michael does share things that many Americans may never know or become aware of because the government is so set on saving their own reputations, that they basically lie to the rest of society. In this article, I admire how Huffington holds true to her standpoints, while bringing up and comparing hers to Moore's, and I also enjoy her courage to ... More »
Obviously over the past few years the "Green Movement" has taken a huge turn in a positive direction, and this is just another form of that in this publication. With adversity knocking at the Movement's door, Senators and EPA administrators are working tirelessly to preserve the efforts of the Green Movement in hopes to keep a clean future in the world. With the EPA, environmentalists, and automobile manufacturers teaming up, the power is in the hands of the Green Movement, and it takes great representation and Senators like the Jackson and Murkowski to defend this movement. The only real issue I have with this article is that it doesn't go too far into depth, I believe that with a little more detail and planning, it could have ... More »
I think publications like these are extremely important to be published for not many journalists feel comfortable enough to step out of typical comfort zones and write about controversial issues surrounding our government. Personally, I disagree with the torture that has been exerted by American officials and I believe that it takes journalists like these to bring awareness to the public so they can begin to see what is going on overseas in the name of safety and the United States of America.
Although the information is interesting and important, there is not much in depth to back up the numbers that are being shown on the actual map. A better understanding would come from providing information that correlates with the numbers being shown throughout the country in regards to health care costs.
I do believe this is quality journalism because it speaks on issues that are very important and regular in today's news.
