The program is a worthy one. I think the author could have drawn some comparisons to Bush's lack of commitment to SCHIP as opposed to this program.

It is a good investigation into the differences between the top two candidates. It did seem to favor Barack Obama and the idealist agenda he proclaims. The author states that , "These rival conceptions of the PresidencyClinton as executive, Obama as visionary..." I think the Democratic Party longs for a candidate with both qualities.
This article is a good look at the controversy and aftermath of the Bhutto assassination. It is a sympathetic article without being a tribute. It is good to get first hand accounts from journalists on the scene.
In the wake of the assassination of Bhutto it is easy to wax nostalgic and look only for the good points. This article looks past the death of Bhutto and tries to evaluate the political life of the former Prime Minister. I do think some more sources should have been cited. I searched archives on Proquest and found a lot of articles on Bhutto. It seems, like most people, she had some good and bad qualities. To expect the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan to change all the bad policies is unrealistic. I do agree that she was not a silver bullet for the West in Pakistan. It would take a lot more than her record showed her capable of to stabilize the democracy in Pakistan.
I read The Smirking Chimp a lot and it is definitely liberal biased. The thing that makes this article more newsworthy is that it catalogs a litany of known and generally accepted infractions by the Bush regime. One of the problems with Bush is that he commits so many crimes and infractions that people tend to forget the earlier ones. I also think it is unfair to compare Bush to FDR. FDR was intelligent, articulate and initiated great social reform in a time of great uncertainty. FDR was a champion of the poor while Bush is a champion of corporations.
It is well sourced with quotes from the major players including the Vermont Attorney General. Whether you agree with the sentiment of the "measure" or not you have to agree that the proposers are passionate. This is a symbolic gesture by the authors and signers and the article could have done more to emphasize this.

Factcheck sets the record straight again. Whenever I come across a dubious quote in a article Factcheck.org is the first place I look. It would be nice if Factcheck included the page number of the sections of the 762 page McCain-Kennedy act they were talking about.
This is a pretty good article. There are some striking parallels between Nazi Germany and the Bush administration. It is true that we have not and hopefully will not fall to the depths of Germany but every right abridged, every scare tactic touted is another step in the direction of fascism. Our freedoms have a price and that price includes some danger. We can never be safer by being less free, and we should not trust the government to have the best interests of the masses at heart. There is not a jack booted thug army in the streets yet but Blackwater is probably negotiating for the contract. Our vigilance is crucial to our democracy.
This is the kind of crisis Huckabee would be facing if elected. Hopefully he would be a little more knowledgeable about the question at hand if he wasn't campaigning but it does make you wonder. Pakistan is a country with nuclear weapons and should be a high priority for Huckabee. It is amazing that Huckabee managed to link the assassination of Bhutto to immigration. Apparently Huck and his supporters are afraid of just about everybody.
This is a good article. I do think the statement "threatens to bring a halt to Pakistan's stuttering steps toward democracy" is a little strong. The Pakistani people are strong and determined and have been battling for democracy since the late 40's. The assassination of Bhutto is definitely a stumbling block on the road to democracy but I don't think it is something that cannot be overcome.

I found story improvements to strengthen the sources in about 20 minutes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found some contrary evidence as well.
