It very much overlooks context, as the 127 years to measure is but an eye blink in the history of humanity on this planet. The Medieval Warm period was far warmer, but this article makes no mention of it. Greenland was green for longer than the USA's been a nation, and recalling the lessons of history would provide context.

Not only does this puff-piece story appear with only one uncritical source (the manufacturer of the device), thoroughly lacking perspective, it even misspells Mack trucks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mack_Truck

The story assumes, invalidly, that there's been little study of Al Qaeda motivations. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200409/cullison is merely one refutation.
