It is well-known that "news" reporting is no longer "news". The opinions of the organization, writer, and subject are simply skewed versions of the real story. Investigation of fact, and corroboration fails miserably with most op-eds written and posted today.

Consumer confidence has waned as the quality of news journalists have declined. News reports on reality-celebs, sex, drugs, and rock & roll, replacing news events that shape the world we live in are clear illustrations that journalists today have no interest in real news. They are looking for that next big viral incident that will garner industry & public acclaim at any cost. The ESPN reporters who destroyed Bernie Fine present a typical example. They used a sound bite to destroy a ... More »

Excellent, logical, conclusions drawn are reasonable.

As CEO of Bain Capital "prior" to the February 1999 date posted by Romney, the Fact-checker's conclusion would be correct. However, Bain Capital & Mitt Romney, ran a multimillion dollar enterprise for years prior to his "departure" to run the Olympics. As any competent CEO, he and his team would have developed a strategic plan, short and long-term during development of the business model Bain Capital would use to grow the business. That plan included acquiring companies, ... More »
