For the most part the article tells the story clearly. The reporters leave out an important part of this story who is actually supporting and paying for this lawsuit. Olsen is no liberal or gay supporter. He is being paid as is Boles to fight this fight. The American Foundation for Equal Rights the same people who were behind the Harvey Milk movie are paying for this lawsuit.

Yes. The article is well written and it comes to a good conclusion. The writer analyzes both candidates and takes a look at strengths and weaknesses. After considerable vetting the conclusion is that Obama represents hope for change and ran a superb campaign.

Right from the Rove handbook attack your opponent at their strongest point. John McCain has built up a mystique about his war service. Is it real or is it hype? So far he has refused to release his records. As pointed out in this article some left blogs and individuals are examining the obvious. Whatever his service in Viet Nam how does it enable him to be President? Does twenty three mission bombing innocent civilians make him a hero? Does prisoner of war entitle him to be president? His military record is non-exemplary. His conduct at Annapolis was marginal he graduated at the bottom of his class. McCain is not a scholar. The article points out that this topic might be fair game for discussion but will it fly with the public.

This article states the obvious that a McCain victory would skew the court to the right. It does not make the case that an Obama victory would probably do the same for the left. The reporter states that the most likely to retire are left leaning Justices but he fails to mention that Kennedy and Scalia would likely retire during a prolonged Democratic retention of the Whitehouse. The right side of the court is a politically driven portion of our court. The so called left side is much more concerned with Justice than ideologies that is why you have much greater array of decisions. Unlike the right wing of our court that walks in lock step.

Adelson the third richest man in this country uses his wealth like a bludgeon and his power extends across countries and continents. Although the article doesn't point this out it clearly illustrates the unfairness of our tax system.. How the system highly skewed to favor the rich allows individuals to gain enormous wealth. This wealth is detrimental to freedom when one individual can wield so much power. Although Mr Adelson donates millions to many varied charities and organizations it does not always come without strings attached. This is an excellent article that details the rise of Mr Adelson and reads like an epic novel.

He quotes Obama and brings up the presidential customary courtesy of disregarding indiscretions of previous Whitehouse's. This custom is not mandatory.

Knowing how this government has functioned this last eight years these allegations are more than likely true and need full investigation.

In a not too good story Howard Kurtz just rambles on about all sort of media stuff. This is a long article that basically says nothing. The jist is that the Dems are saying McCain is too old and the Republicans expressing righteous indignation are calling foul. Any moment they will stick their tongues out at each other and McCain will give Obama a wedgie.

This story explains the problems of moderate Republicans trying to bend the party so as not to hurt their objectives of moving the party more to the center. The Conservatives on the other hand need to flex to accept their presidential choices viewpoints that sometimes run counter to their agenda.

In a good journalistic story the writer explains the mess McClatchy Co is in. He describes their debt problem that is plaguing this company. This is just one company in many caught up in the worst finacial plague in history.

This was just a rant against Al Gore. Whatever Gore's reasoning he has chosen to stay out of the political arena and devoted full energy to global warming. He has been bruised enough by the system. Gore refrained from trying to influence the public.

In a really good story Jeffrey Klein explains away the myth of John McCain. In an article that appeared in the NY Time in May McCain is glorified with having earned his Admiral stars but chose to go into politcs instead. The rest of the story goes on to explain that McCain like his hero Bush the Lesser has reached mythological status in his own mind. Through a series of interviews military records, and other facts the author shows McCains military career was not stellar.

Not particularly good journalism because the story has limited value. Although the writer presents his facts he makes no opinions.

With comparisons, interviews and relevant facts it unravels the politcal ratings business. I believe it gave some good insite into a sometimes skewed ratings system.

In an interesting interview with an Iranian dissident, author, and journalist we get a viewpoint with an Iranian perspective. Some very valid points are raised and it is worth reading.

In an interesting opinion piece from George Will he scorns John McCains dumb comment regarding a narrow decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the right of Habeas Corpus Since most conservative writerers and opinionators have heretofore walked in lock step this was good to read. McCains comment was doublespeak and Will was right when he made a snide comment. McCain needs to do better before making a public statement.
