(SFSU) This is one of the few articles that mentions minor offenses. It also doesn't quote any of the country's leaders which seem to be satisfied with these results. If anything, this article is trying to make it seem that this is bad news being caused by Secure Communities.

(SFSU) This article does well at maintaining its objectivity. It presents the figures and the general response of the government. Also note the adjectives "illegal" or "undocumented" are withheld when referring to immigrants.

(SFSU) This article emphasizes too much on the criminality of the immigrants deported, trying to lead the reader into thinking immigrants are dangerous murderers and rapists; it overrepresents the "serious" criminals.

The author tries to give the impression that the deportations are a successful solution to illegal immigration, when in reality it's just a band-aid over a bleeding wound.

Great written story! The uncertainty of being able to know whether the author is referring to the church or mosque helps enlighten on the current situation in New York and in the country.
