The reorter simply reported the contention of Heartland Institute's representative that "billions" of grant dollars were being spent studying global warming and this is a gross exageration of the amount of money that is being spent. Heartland plants a outlandish figure that suggests that somehow scientists are wasting money. Heartland is funded by Oil and coal interests and this was not reported.

This is a "teaser" article excerpt from Hawkins new book. In this short article (the book introduction?) he provides the overall arguement for a non-god created universe without providing any of the supporting information on the specific theories of cosmology that support his hypothesis. The flesihing out is important , but that is why I will get and read the book when my local libraary gets it.....it did get my interest

Doesn't give the context of the NBC stories. Have they proven to be accurate. Enough time has passed for that to be known

The article failed to document the history of Mr. Gonzales deceptions. We all know that Mr. Gonzales has lied frequently since becomeing AG, but the article's promise to document a long hx of lying was not fullfilled.

Presents the claims of the administration and compares them with the military picture and opinion. Then the relative amount of arms from Iran (by whatever source) is contrasted with the much larger amount that is coming from Pakistan, which the Administration does not ever mention. A very good piece of investigation

This is not news, this is an op-ed piece, why shouldn't he have a viewpoint? The piece certainly captures what a significant fraction of the population feels and presents it in a way that is emotional, yes! A large number of people have had their values of country/morality/environmental health/politics abused daily by this Administration, should they just be quiet, or maybe take a David Brooks..."Liberalism: Threat or Menace" quasi-urbane, quasi-reasoned approach, you know...with a wink at the end. No, this is an op-ed, the writer comes out and presents an OP without being cute...I liked it. But then, I have been tithing to the Spirits Industry for the last six years, so I know how he feels.
